CTA History

In February 2024, a small group of Arizona Catholic therapists who were regular attendees at the first few networking breakfasts for therapistss got together to share ideas about a vision for how this group of Catholic therapists in Arizona could grow and become more active. Plans began to develop for a new professional association that could support therapists in Arizona to grow in their practice.

In September or 2024, Articles of Organization were filed with the State of Arizona for the formation of Catholic Therapists Arizona, and shortly afterward an application was submitted to the IRS for federal nonprofit status. Throughout this time, the core group continued to meet every couple of weeks to pray, brainstorm, plan, work, and explore possibilities for how the community could continue to grow.
